Antique Drawer Pulls

I didn’t know much about antique drawer pulls hardware up until I was out shopping with my friend Marla. After coming out of a dress shop, Marla told me that you she needed to pick up some glass drawer pulls and knobs. I asked, “What are drawer pulls”?

She laughed and told me that drawer knobs and pulls are what you pull to open a drawer. I told her that I thought that those things were called drawer handles and she laughed again. Glad I could be of some amusement I guess.

We saw wooden pulls, plastic ones, and even crystal ones. Actually, there was some crystal antique drawer pulls hardware that was beautiful and very expensive. I didn’t think that I would ever use crystal antique drawer knobs because they seemed way too expensive for my tastes.

We asked the store clerk about some ideas based on the cabinet knobs that Marla had chosen, and he gave us some suggestions on how to make your cabinet drawer pulls look great with the drawers that they are placed on.

The first thing that he said was that if you put antique drawer pulls on a set of drawers that looks good, then it will look even better. But there is nothing worse than placing a set of crystal antique drawer handles on a cheap and ugly looking set of drawers. This is a waste.
